The Ontario Ministry of International Trade, in cooperation with the Canadian Embassies in Poland and the Czech Republic, is organizing a cleantech mission of 6-10 companies to participate in POL-ECO-SYSTEM 2017 in Poznan, Poland October 16-19, 2017 and a one-day business program in Gdansk, Poland on October 20. The mission will then continue to Prague for a business program on October 23 and 24, 2017.
About the Mission
In Poland, the mission will include participation in the Pol-Eco Exhibition (workstation, interpreter, service and amenities) and the Business Program (train transportation within Poland, networking lunch, receptions, welcome and farewell dinners, B2B meetings).
In Prague, the mission will include two days of business programming as well as a welcome reception and transportation. Hotels and travel expenses (airfare and meals not included in the program) will be paid by each participant. Hotels in all cities will be block booked using the Embassy rates.
Participants may choose the following options for their participation:
- Option A: Participation in the Canada Pavilion at Pol-Eco 2017, Poznan and business program in Gdansk only, or
- Option B: Participation in the Canada Pavilion at Pol-Eco 2017, Poznan and business program in Gdansk, as well as the two-day business program in Prague, Czech Republic.
POL-ECO-SYSTEM is the largest trade show in Central Europe dedicated to environmental industries and clean technologies. It is the only major trade show in the region which covers all of the cleantech subsectors. It is a well-known event that has been ongoing for 26 years. In 2016, 482 exhibitors from 15 countries and more than 7,000 participants visited this event.
This year, POL-ECO-SYSTEM will focus on water management, wastewater treatment and anti-flood protection, renewable energy, environmental protection technologies, waste and recycling management, sustainable transport, fire protection and groundwater management.
The one-day Business Program in Gdansk will include a session focusing on Canadian cleantech capabilities as part of the CanadaPoland Business Forum, B2B meetings and networking opportunities. The two-day business program in Prague, the Czech Republic will include B2B meetings with the Ministry of Environment, City of Prague, CzechInvest and a networking reception, hosted by the Canadian Embassy in Prague. This program will be tailored to address the interests and requirements of the companies that participate.
