Natural Resources Canada: Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities – Bioheat, Demonstration & Deployment Program Streams

Support for projects that reduce reliance of rural and remote Canadian communities on diesel fuel for heat and power. Projects must demonstrate community support and must fit into one of the following streams: bioheat to reduce fossil fuel use, innovative demonstration to reduce diesel use, and deployment of renewable technologies for electricity. Maximum NRCan contributions vary by project and range from $5,000,000 to $40,000,000 and from 40% to 100% coverage of total costs.
