The Water Council: Tech Challenge

A competition for companies and individuals with technology/ideas that can be turned into a viable business. Challenge finalists will vie for $25,000 in prize money, access to corporate R&D resources and the opportunity to partner on the development, marketing, licensing, or sale of the winning technology or idea. They are looking for technologies within the following categories:

Biological & Disinfection Byproduct Sensors: Sensors for detecting microbiological organisms or disinfection byproducts; presence of illicit discharges to storm and sanitary sewers; presence of pathogens in water distribution systems, wastewater effluent and biosolids; process monitoring of wastewater treatment or yeast in fermenting processes

Sensors for Heavy Metals & Chemicals: Sensors for detecting heavy metals (such as lead) and industrial chemicals (such as PFPA and PFAS) in water and wastewater
