Toronto-based Greyter Water Systems Inc. recently announced that it has closed a $1.1-million investment. A number of previous investors participated in this round, which was led by Bioindustrial Innovation Canada (BIC). BIC invests in early-stage companies that develop clean, green and sustainable chemistry-based technologies.

Greyter provides water recovery and management solutions. Early this year, the company’s Greyter HOME solution was the winner of Best Green Building Product, awarded by the National Association of Home Builders during the International Builders’ Show in Orlando. The Greyter HOME is a residential appliance that recycles shower and bath water so that it can be reused for toilet flushing.
