TORONTO, ONTARIO – October 17, 2016 – Today, the Water Technology Acceleration Project (WaterTAP) launches the inaugural Ontario Water Innovation Week, being held from October 17 to 21.

The week includes two anchor conferences. Water Innovation in Action 2.0 (October 18) is a one-day event that brings together Ontario stakeholders to measure progress and plan for the future of the province’s water sector.

The fourth annual World Water-Tech North America 2016 (October 19-20), hosted by WaterTAP and Rethink Events, will bring global leaders to Toronto to discuss water innovation and investment.

The week also includes specialized activities, workshops, and networking events, such as the Ontario Water Innovation Week launch reception on October 18 and the Courageous Conversations Procurement Workshop on October 21.

“Ontario Water Innovation Week showcases what Ontario has to offer as the leading hub for water technology innovation,” said WaterTAP’s President and CEO, Dr. Peter Gallant. “We look forward to welcoming the world’s key players and to facilitating partnerships between municipalities, technology companies, and investors.”

Partners of the week’s events include XPV Water Partners, FATHOM, the Ontario Ministry of International Trade, the Ontario Clean Water Agency, and the Southern Ontario Water Consortium.
