The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO), in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, are excited to announce the 10th annual WEAO Student Design Competition.
This competition challenges student teams to solve a real world engineering problem. The theme for this year’s competition will be to address the reduction of phosphorous loading to the Thames River and Lake Erie from various sources. The City of London will host the competition and the registration deadline for the Student Design Competition is September 30, 2017.
The Student Design Competition is intended to promote “real world” design experience for students interested in pursuing a career in water and wastewater engineering and sciences. Many professors are finding that the competition is an appropriate and intriguing final year project for students. The project is designed to have the complexity level of a senior design or capstone project, with begin and end dates that correspond to the academic year.
