Rita Theil, B.Soc.Sci, LLB, MBA, C.Dir, is a veteran of global corporate finance. She has more than 25 years’ experience advising international public and private power, water and energy companies with RvB Capital Partners, CITIBANK and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in the United States, the United Kingdom, and across Europe.
She advises governments, companies and investors on strategy, privatizations, cross border infrastructure mergers, acquisitions, (including the National Grid of the UK) and financing strategies in power, water and gas around the world. Ms. Theil has both advised on and lead from the board and/or senior management level on multiple IPOs in Canada (TSX and TSX-V) and the USA (NASDAQ).
Ms. Theil has an MBA and is a Chartered Director (C. Dir.) designated by The Directors College of McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada. She holds an LLB from the University of Ottawa and is a Member of the Bar in Ontario, Canada and the United Kingdom. She serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee on the board of Global Water Resources, a NASDAQ-listed Company. Since 2004, Ms. Theil has been the CEO and President of JacKryn Holdings Inc., a financial advisory firm focused on strategy and corporate development, board governance and interim executive and operational management.
