Partners in Project Green Announces Clean Economy Challenge

On November 29, Partners in Project Green is celebrating its 10th anniversary with Powering the Clean Economy: Leveraging 10 years of Sustainability Leadership for a Prosperous Tomorrow. As part of these proceedings, PPG is holding a Clean Economy Challenge.

The challenge is an interactive competition that will showcase six innovative new products or services. The audience will vote for the most exciting and persuasive presentation, but all six competitors will benefit from the unique opportunity to get in front of 200 sustainability professionals who are eager to discover new ways of reducing corporate environmental footprints while boosting their bottom line.

Twenty applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and reviewed by a selection committee of professionals from the public and non-profit sectors. The top six applications will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation
  • Ability to scale in the Ontario marketplace
  • Impact on the environmental footprint of Ontario businesses (in terms of energy, water, waste, and/or climate change)

The successful applicants will present their ideas on November 29 in a TEDTalk/Pecha Kucha-style presentation (20 slides, 20 seconds each), which will be followed by a short Q+A from a panel of industry experts.

The audience will vote for the most exciting and persuasive presentation, and the winner will receive The Clean Economy Challenge Audience Choice Award at our awards reception that evening.
